“Paediatric surgeons make big differences in small people”

Dr Nadeem Haider is a consultant paediatric, neonatal and urology surgeon. He is currently working in Dubai Healthcare City (DHCC) in the United Arab Emirates. He has received all his professional and specialist training from some of the best centres in Ireland, United Kingdom and New Zealand and holds over 20 years of experience in paediatric surgical conditions.

Dr Nadeem has post graduate specialist qualifications from the Royal Colleges of Surgeons in Ireland, and UK and a paediatric surgical fellowship from the Royal Austral Asian College of Surgeons. He operates on babies (including extremely premature ones) to children aged 15 years. His interests include Laparoscopic (key hole) surgery in children, paediatric endoscopy (camera examination), paediatric vascular abnormalities as well as teaching, training and research in his field.

Dr Nadeem Haider gained his Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (FRCS) in general surgery in 1996. His journey in paediatric surgery started in Dublin in 1996 from the busiest paediatric surgical units in Ireland. He then moved to the UK where once again he worked in highly specialized units to complete his training and was awarded the certificate of completion of training in paediatric surgery (CCT) by The Royal College of Surgeons. Dr Nadeem was then appointed as a consultant paediatric surgeon in Christchurch, New Zealand, in the largest tertiary hospital on the South Island and worked there till late 2015 prior to moving to Dubai. Since then he has been working in Dubai Healthcare City and has successfully operated on children of all ages including babies with extreme prematurity.
